Kathmandu, Aug 22 : The men's national cricket team is leaving for Pakistan tonight to participate in the Asia Cup Cricket tournament to be hosted jointly by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The tournament is being held from August 30 to September 17.
It will be the maiden participation of Nepal in the Asia Cup and is in Group 'A' including India and Pakistan. Similarly, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in Group B. Nepal will play its first group match in Pakistan and the second match in Sri Lanka with Pakistan and India respectively.
The first match between Nepal and Pakistan will be held on August 31. Similarly, Nepal will play its second match against India on September 4.(RSS)
