Morang, Aug 26: Central member of the Nepali Congress, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, has said religious tolerance is the identity of Nepali people.

Speaking at an installation programme organized by Nepal Press Union Morang chapter in Biratnagar city today, leader Koirala reminded that Nepal is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multi-lingual country, so all sides concerned should maintain social and religious tolerance and harmony.

We should abide by the provision mentioned in the constitution, he said, adding whether the demand of naming province based on ethnic identity would be viable.

On a different note, he urged the leaders in Koshi Province to form a government based on the constitution.

Leader Koirala believed that once the Lalita Niwas, fake Bhutanese refugee scam, and gold smuggling case were investigated effectively and sorted out in a transparent manner, it would help build good governance in the country. (RSS)
