Itahari: 13 tourism professionals have represented province 1 in ongoing Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Nepali tourism professionals have a stall promoting Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 focusing province 1, said Bhabish Shrestha, a tourism entrepreneur of province 1 who leads Nepali delegation in TTF.

The fair, began on July 12, will be concluded on July 14 drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors, informed Basudev Baral, another tourism entrepreneur of province 1.

    'We are informing visitors, journalists and tourism entrepreneurs about province one's entry points of Biratnagar, Kakarbhitta and Pasupatinagar for Indian visitors', Baral said over phone, 'we are mainly promoting religious and natural attractions of our province among Indian visitors here.'

Along with Nepal tourism professionals from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Thailand have also participated in reportedly India's biggest travel trade show, informed Jiwan Parajuli, the cair of Hotel Association of Itahari who is also a member of Nepali delegation there.

'This is a great opportunity to promote province one and its touristic products in this mega tourism event', said Kishore Thulung, the vice-coordinator of Tourism Promotion Committee of Dharan Municipality who is also a member of Nepali delegation in TTF.
