Itahai: For the first time in Itahari, a 3-day diabetes camp for children has been scheduled for April. According to the organizer, Lions Club of Itahari (LCI) city, the camp will target families with children with diabetes type 1, 2 and pre-diabetics within their age brackets of 7 to 15.  

   'This pioneer philanthropic diabetes camp is supported by Lions Club of California C4-3 district', informed Jiwan Parajuli, the president of LCI city.  The first-of-its kind camp is directly supported by Lion Lidia Petrov-Jones, Diabetes Chair of Lions Diabetes Camp Director, says president Parajuli. camp is supported by IPDG (District C4-3) Lions Rajen Thapa, Lion Lidia Petrov-Jones Lions Diabetes Camp Director, Kadyn Schumann, Director of CDRT(Community Disater Response Team) from California. 

'This incoming diabetes camp will not be a traditional ritual of health camp in the city', claims Lokendra Dhakal, the secretary of LCI city, 'it will be homely and children will be given some possible recreational activities to have fun at the camp venue.'

 According to LCI city, the camp's exact date and venue is yet to decide.
