Biratnagar: State-1 Chief Somnath Adhikari Pyasi has said journalists' code of conduct need to be linked to national interest and durable peace. At a two-day seminar on journalists' code of conduct organized jointly by Press Council Nepal and FNJ State 1 Chapter here Wednesday, State Chief Adhikari stressed that media persons should abide by code of conduct and bring quality and inclusive news.    
He further suggested the journalists to write on industrialization, innovation, and successful implementation of the constitution. Journalism also has public responsibility, State Chief underscored.    
On the occasion, Chairman of Administrative Court, Kashiraj Dahal, stressed that journalists could make news being based on facts and abiding by the code of conduct.    
FNJ Central Chairman Govinda Acharya accused that big media were ignoring the news for common people owing to advertisements from industrialists.    
State 1 Chapter Chairman of FNJ, Bikram Luitel, said such discussion would be held in other parts as well to make journalists more professional and committed to code of conduct.    
It was shared at the programme that there are 114 radios, 117 newspapers, five television, 150 online news portals, and 2,000 media persons in State 1.
