Itahari, April 19 :-  On the twenty-seventh day of the ongoing lockdown, with effect from March 24, Chief Minister of State No. 1 Sherdhan Rai addressed to the people in the State this evening and thanked them for their patience and sincerity to abide by the nationwide lockdown.    


Rai briefed about ongoing Polymerase Chain Reaction (PRC) test of COVID-19 at Dharan-based B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar.    

As of April 19, a total of 387 PCR tests were conducted, said CM Rai. He added that State government, in collaboration with all 137 local governments of the State, had intensified Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) adding that total RDT tally of the state stands at 2281 until Sunday.

    
CM Rai revealed total beds of isolation wards, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds and quarantine has reached 449, 44 and 4449, respectively.    


Rai said isolation wards have been set up at 53 locations and quarantine are established in 253 places of the state. He said 23 people are in isolation wards and 676 people are currently quarantined at various locations of the state.    


Rai also said that 4,223 people returned from abroad are quarantined at their homes. He said 13 people including 11 Indian nationals are the COVID-19 patients in the state. All of them are hospitalized at COVID-19 special hospital made by state government.
